David Alonso quiere cerrar la temporada en moto 3 entre los 3 primeros

The Colombian rider of the Valresa GASGAS Aspar Team, arrives at the GP of Comunidad Valenciana as the winner of the rookies in the Moto3 World Championship.

With the constructors’ and riders’ titles already decided in favour of Jaume Masiá, all that remains to be seen is which riders will join him on the top step of the podium at the end of the season. In the battle for the season podium is Valresa GASGAS Aspar rider David Alonso, who is third in the standings. The Colombian is 18 points ahead of Ayumu Sasaki, but also trails Dani Holgado and Deniz Öncü by 13 points. Alonso will be runner-up if he wins or finishes second in the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana and Ayumu Sasaki does not score points, a difficult but not impossible combination. In turn, the Colombian could concede up to twelve points to Holgado and Öncü to finish his first year in the World Championship in third position.

David Alonso: “In Valencia I will try to enjoy every minute on track to close the season in the best possible way. I can still finish second overall, but also outside the top 3. We will keep pushing to give the fans some joy”.

Ryusei Yamanaka: “Circuit Ricardo Tormo is one of my favourite tracks. I know I can ride fast there and we will have to give our best from the start. Working on the rhythm from the first practice will be important to get to the race with a good feeling. We will try to finish the season on a high note.
