In the habitat sector, wood surfaces structured and sensitized by graphic and geometric patterns are increasingly present. An example of this is the “IKAT” design, a decorative proposal by means of geometrical patterns, by the designer Piero Lissoni for ALPI, presented in 2017. The graphic proposals of these veneers are inspired by the universe of Indian textiles, which in its particular manufacture creates a very recognized pattern. In general, poetically these interventions with recomposed sheets stimulate to experience new aesthetic and perceptive sensations, converting them into new coatings for the domestic and contract environment.
